Nod

Use Nod with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Claude Code

Nod keeps one memory for you across your AI assistants. A connected assistant can save a note to Nod while you talk, and can look up what you already decided. Nothing an assistant saves is kept until you approve it in the Nod app.

Before you start

You need the Nod iPhone app, signed in. Nod is invite-only right now and ships through TestFlight. If you do not have an invite, you can ask to join the beta.

Every assistant connects to the same address:

https://api.curate-me.ai/mcp/family

What a connected assistant can do

A connected assistant cannot read your household's calendar, email, lists, or other members' notes, and cannot delete anything.

How approval works

Whichever assistant you use, connecting opens a Nod consent page in your browser. You approve the connection in the Nod app, one of three ways:

  • On a computer: scan the QR code on the page with your iPhone camera, then approve in Nod.
  • On your iPhone: tap Approve in the Nod app, then approve in Nod.
  • With a pairing code: in Nod, open Sources and get a pairing code, then type it on the page.

The consent page shows a two-digit number. When you approve in Nod, type the same number. Only approve a request you started yourself, on a screen that shows that number. After you approve, the page returns to your assistant on its own.

A pairing code lasts 10 minutes and works once. If it expires, get a new one from Sources.

Connect Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors. Add Nod from the directory if it is listed there, or add a custom connector with the URL https://api.curate-me.ai/mcp/family.
  2. Choose Connect. Claude opens the Nod consent page.
  3. Approve in the Nod app, as described above.
  4. Return to Claude. Nod now shows up in your connectors.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT settings, add Nod from the apps directory if it is listed there. Otherwise add a custom connector with the URL https://api.curate-me.ai/mcp/family. Depending on your plan, custom connectors may need developer mode turned on first.
  2. ChatGPT opens the Nod consent page. Approve in the Nod app.

Connect Codex

Add the server, then sign in:

codex mcp add nod --url https://api.curate-me.ai/mcp/family
codex mcp login nod

The login step opens the Nod consent page in your browser. Approve in the Nod app, then go back to your terminal.

Connect Claude Code

Add the server:

claude mcp add --transport http nod https://api.curate-me.ai/mcp/family

Then, inside Claude Code, run /mcp, pick nod, and choose to authenticate. Claude Code opens the Nod consent page in your browser. Approve in the Nod app.

Try it

  • “What am I working on in Nod?”
  • “Remember that we picked induction for the range.”
  • “Pick up the Portugal trip where I left off.”

Review what assistants saved

Notes from an assistant wait for your review in the Nod app. Keep a note to add it to your memory, or discard it. Nothing is kept until you approve it.

Disconnect

You can disconnect an assistant at any time. In Nod, open Sources, choose the assistant, and disconnect it. Removing the connector inside the assistant also stops it from reaching Nod.
